Garden Plans

Posted on

0011Since our CSA farm down the road has decided to not be a CSA this year we have decided to just be better gardeners ourselves. That means planning ahead and planting on time and starting seeds indoors. (We’re also going to add one to two more beds.)  We did a big seed order from Seeds of Change and yesterday started all the onions and leeks. I’m hoping to do the beans in a teepee for Clark and Tabitha. I’m excited for the possibilities!

About Sarah

I'm a librarian living with my lovely family in a gorgeous spot of New Jersey, where we raise chickens and love the outdoors. I try to find enough time to indulge all my hobbies-cooking, photography, gardening, sewing, and I write about it all on my book blog & personal blog.

  1. I am with you! We have some CSA options semi-nearby, but driving 30 minutes to pick up a share is too much for my lazy self. I’ve been doing veggies at home the last couple years and I am so addicted! Coming home from work and going out to the garden to see what’s growing is one of my favorite things to do. Seeds of Change is one of my favorite places to order, along with Baker Creek and Seeds Savers Exchange.

  2. EEEEEE!!!! SEEDS!!!! It’s the most wonderful time of the year, the garden planning! I’m so excited for you guys! (And guess what — our onion seedlings have sprouted already. Garden ’09 is on its way to greatness!)

Anne, I totally agree. It just makes life so pleasant to take that stroll through the garden after the workday.
