Here is the finished dress, being worn. I’m very pleased with it and think it will be really versatile and able to be worn for quite a while (seasonally speaking, that is.) This pattern also has closer armholes than the other dresses I’ve made, which I like. More importantly, I am just delighted with this photo. Tabby has just collected the eggs and is looking into her bowl at them. And then a chicken rushed over thinking there was food in the bowl and here she is saying “NOOOO!” to the hen:
Now that I’ve started The Fair View-our 365 photo project-I keep having all these “runner up” photos. Choosing just one each day is difficult! The above photos were definite runners up. As was this one:

The ladies are willing to come out when there is just a dusting of snow, and the leave lovely tracks and look very nice against a winter backdrop.
One of our chickens’ dreams came true the other day-she was let into the house!! She seemed puzzled, while the ones on the outside seemed to want to join her!
Clark dropped some bread for her and the chickens on the outside of the door all started pecking at the door to try to get to it! I didn’t want poop all over my floor so I made her leave pretty quickly.
