I’ve been stocking up for holiday baking. Lots of nuts-I put them in cookies, sticky buns, and love to make them spicy, sweet, and candied for entertaining and little gifts. Crystallized ginger-our grocery store sells these wonderful big cubes in bulk in the organic section. I love ginger in so many things-today I made both ginger squares and gingered nuts (a new party nut recipe and they are fantastic.) Chocolate chips-to melt and stir together with sweetened condensed milk to make a cookie filling. And of course, red hots and silver dragees to decorate sugar cookies.
