Spring Birthday

Posted on

Spring is a great time for birthdays–we have a March, April, and May birthday in our family. This weekend was my mom’s birthday and we had a great day celebrating with her. First, brunch at The Brothers Moon. If you live anywhere near Hopewell, NJ (where this restaurant is) you really must try it. Fresh, local, delicious food. We had a fantastic brunch.

Afterwards it was a quick trip over to Grounds for Sculpture.  Turns out we don’t actually have a membership there anymore, but certainly didn’t mind paying.
What I find so great about the Grounds is that there is always something new to see-whether it’s a new exhibit:
Play the notes-light the lights-grow the plants
installation:
oh nooooooo!

or just seeing one of the permanent pieces in a new season or time of day:

It’s still too early for all the spring flowers to be in bloom, but there was more than there is at home, so it was all lovely. And I took a million pictures. Check out more of them on Flickr.

And of course we love the peacocks.
