Time for Tea

Posted on

In an effort to both be active and aggressive in tackling my works in progress and finish things while simultaneously rediscovering the relaxing creative pursuits I enjoy (you see how those two are in direct opposite?) I’ve been finishing up old projects.  First there was Tabby’s princess robot decoration

, and now a piece of embroidery that’s been in the hoop for a year with just a few finishing touches needed. I buckled down one morning and quickly finished it off. To keep momentum going and not let it then sit on my table another year I went out to the store and bought a square frame and promptly hung it in my kitchen.

I have to say I’m really delighted with this. One of the reasons it languished was because I wasn’t sure what to do with it. Once I decided to add some words to it in a cheerful complementary yellow I really liked it.

I’m not sure where I got the design from, but I did the wing detail myself as a way to use the fly stitch.
