Pink, Green, and Pom Pommed!

Posted on

This fabric is so gorgeous. I knew I wanted a very straight lined apron for this one, but decided to frill it up a bit by adding this green ball pom pom fringe I’ve had for quite a long time. Sometimes when you see pom pom fringe you just love it so much you have to have it, even if you don’t know what you’ll do with it!  Although the greens are not an exact match, I think they work well.

I deliberately used hot pink thread to contrast on the ties.

See the pocket? That is the green version of this fabric.  You’ll be seeing another apron with that as the background and the pink as the pocket or waistband.

I need to take a little break from aprons, even though they are oh so fun, because I’ve got some baby gifts in the works that I need to finish up.  Thank you so much, friends, for your input on the name! I’ve finally decided on….

The Cornish Hen

I’m a Cornish, I’m a bustley mother hen, I love chickens, and so it feels just right for me. Perhaps Paul will draw me a picture of a plump hen wearing an apron?

  1. Gorgeous! And I love the Cornish Hen – it’s general enough that it covers all the lovely items you create and it still has that personal reference. Well done!

    • Thank you Anne! I was thinking of making something for the YALSA silent auction. Apron? Jewelry roll? Maybe jewelry roll for all that conference travel, right? 🙂
